Safety Considerations

• Make sure the floor is free of any obstructions.
• Ensure students are scattered around the room to avoid bumping into one another.

Instructions

• Have students stand up with enough room to raise their arms.
• This is a "repeat after me" song. Instruct students to march on the spot with their arms pumping.
• Have students repeat each line and action after the leader.

"I don't know but I can say" (March)
"We are healthy kids today" (March)
"Stand up!" (Jump up)
"Arms apart!" (Lift arms up in a jumping jack position)
"Move your feet!" (March quickly, and pump arms)
"It's good for your heart!" (Tap chest four times)

Accommodations/Modifications

• Ask the class to come up with their own rhymes or actions.
• Print different rhymes with the actions on the board.
