Food Safety at Special Events

When food is prepared and sold to the public at special events, the public may be at greater risk of food borne illness.

As special event co-ordinators and special event food vendors, you must practice food safety to reduce the risk of food borne illness. You are required to submit forms to Peel Public Health two to four weeks before your special event so we can help ensure you provide safe food to the public.

You can view our inspection guidelines, checklist, and required forms at the links above.

To contact Peel Public Health about serving food at your special event, please call 905-799-7700 to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
