The Peel Health Library is an evidence-based library with specialized reference services to support the evidence-informed decision-making requirements of Peel Health Services. High level, evidence-based literature searches are provided and include:

1. A brief critical appraisal to provide results of the best (up to five) articles or
2. More extensive literature searches from multiple databases, including MEDLINE via the OVID interface. The services include:
   • Provision of search results in a RefWorks database or format
   • Provision of expert search support, including development of evidence-based questions and the filtering of search results.

Region of Peel Health Services staff can ask our librarians a reference question in several ways:

Email us with your question(s). They can be forwarded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Requests normally take 3 working days, however, urgent requests can be accommodated from Monday to Friday.
