1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 half small sweet green pepper, chopped
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tsp dried oregano
pinch each of salt and pepper
1 1/2 cups pasta sauce or plain tomato sauce
6 kaiser rolls
In heavy or nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat, breaking up with back of spoon, for 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain well.
Add onion, green pepper, mushrooms, oregano, salt and pepper; cook over medium heat, stirring often, for about 5 minutes or until onion is softened. Stir in pasta sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
