Recreation Services are offered for all residents on a daily basis.  All activities are posted on the main board in the Centre and residents receive recreation calendars weekly.  The monthly and weekly calendars are posted in the residents’ room.  The recreation staff provides a wide variety of daily activities to meet the needs of all residents according to their individual plan of care.

The recreation staff plays a key role in planning and providing appropriate activities to promote the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each of the residents.  The first week we will spend time getting to know you so that we can offer programs of your choice.

We have our own bus and are active in our community.  Some of our trips include bowling, lunches out, country drives, Woodbine races and picnics, just to name a few.  There is cost for bus trips that ranges from $1 - $3 per person.  Our trips to restaurants are subsidized by volunteers and our fundraised money.

Throughout the year, residents and day program participants have a variety of fundraising events; the annual bazaar, garden vegetable and Christmas sales.  These funds support programs and make it affordable for our residents and adult day program clients to participate in activities.

Church Service is offered every Thursday at 2:00 pm with inter-denominational services, conducted by Bolton area Ministers.  Pastoral visits and Holy Communion are offered monthly.  You are encouraged to establish affiliation in our local community.

The “Helping Hands Volunteers” support our residents by being a friend, helping with activities and making a difference at the Centre.

If you wish to be involved in the activities with your family please contact the Supervisor of Activation and Volunteer Services.
