Creative and Fun Learning Experience at the Peel Heritage Complex during March Break

(Brampton) - Peel Heritage Complex has a lot to offer to kids during March Break! They can create art, learn about history, make friends, and experience new things.

The March Break registered programs run from Monday, March 12 to Friday, March 16 and are designed for children ages 6 to 9 and 10 to 12. Children can participate in a variety of classes and experience a different adventure every time.

On Monday, kids will have fun exploring a variety of drawing techniques and materials in a Drawing class and learn how to use watercolors in a Watercolour Fantasy class. On Tuesday, it's time to learn papermaking techniques and how to create monoprints.

Wednesday's theme is splash, dribble, slop and brush! In a fun Paint till you Drop class, children will create their works on various surfaces with different tools and textures. In a Time Trekkers Archaeology class they will explore the First Nations of Peel, reconstruct broken pots and do other hands-on activities.

On Thursday, the Complex offers two exciting art classes - Folk Art Fish and The Art of Collage with activities such as creating a one-of-a-kind folk art fish and using Polaroid images and found objects to create their masterpiece in a wooden box.

Friday's class - Portraits Past and Present - will offer children an opportunity to create two portraits. One will be based on the portrait styles of 100 years ago and the other will be a contemporary look at people. Also on Friday, kids will explore tie-dye painting techniques to create their unique pieces of art.

Please pre-register your children for the above classes either in person or by calling
