Calling all Champions!

Brampton, ON (Sept 13, 2018): The Region of Peel is accepting applications for volunteer membership to the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).

The Accessibility Advisory Committee is a Regional Council appointed Committee whose mandate it is to identify barriers and provide recommendations that will improve accessibility for persons of all abilities. The committee is comprised of 10 citizen members most of whom are stakeholders, assist in making decisions that will support the 2005, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the 2001, Ontarians with Disabilities Act (ODA).

As a member of the AAC you will also be act as a spokesperson for building projects for the redesign of public spaces within the Region and have a role in delivery of the Region’s vision for building a Community For Life; an inclusive community where people can live and thrive at any age, culture or ability as mandated by the Region’s strategic plan.
