Canada Day Holiday Service Hours at Peel Region

Brampton, ON. (June 26, 2023) – Peel Region offices and some non-emergency services will be closed for the Canada Day holiday on Monday, July 3, 2023.

The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Tuesday, July 4, 2023:

Vaccine clinics

COVID-19 vaccine clinics and routine school immunization clinics will be closed on Monday, July 3, 2023. Clinics will resume regular hours of operations on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. To check for available clinics and to book your appointment, visit: COVID-19 vaccine or routine school immunization.

Peel Works Harm Reduction Services

Needle Exchange Program and Harm Reduction - Mobile Van will be closed Saturday, July 1 and Monday, July 3 and will reopen on Tuesday, July 4.

Emergency shelter, food or personal support

For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter web page or call 905-450-1996.

Peel Living Maintenance Requests

For Peel Living maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.

TransHelp

To travel on Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4, you must call 905-791-1015 and book by 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.

We offer bookings up to 7 days in advance. Consider booking your next trip early to ensure your holiday travel.

Visit Brampton Transit and Mississauga Transit for holiday schedules.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon

On Monday, July 3, there will be no waste collection. Waste will be collected one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders.

All Community Recycling Centers are closed on Saturday July 1.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)

PAMA will be closed on Saturday, July 1 and Monday, July 3. Visit Sunday, July 2 and see the brand new Yours to Discover: Sights/Sites of Peel Region exhibition! Take a tour of our amazing region through the landscapes of PAMA’s art collection.
