NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Proposed Amendment to the Peel Region Official Plan
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel will hold a public meeting under Section 17(15) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, to consider an application submitted by the Town of Caledon to amend the Peel Region Official Plan:

The purpose of the Proposed Amendment:
Amend Section 5.4.3 of the Peel Region Official Plan by adding an additional policy, Section 220.127.116.11.10, which indicates that it is the intent of the Town of Caledon to reallocate 3,900 population within the Town of Caledon Official Plan and within the 2021 planning horizon, to the area in the vicinity of an asterisk within the Mayfield West Study Area, west of Hurontario Street (Highway 10). The asterisk is intended to be shown on Schedules “B” and “D” of the Peel Region Official Plan. Section 18.104.22.168.10 provides additional direction, further to Section 22.214.171.124.9 concerning how this reallocation should be implemented.
Location of the subject lands:
The lands affected by the proposed amendment are located within the western portion of the Mayfield West Community Development Plan Study Area Boundary as shown on Schedule “D” of the Peel Region Official Plan.
The effect of the Proposed Amendment:
Amend Section 5.4.3 - Rural Service Centres (Text and Policy), Schedule B – Prime Agricultural Area (to add an asterisk (*) with respect to reference to a new policy Section 126.96.36.199.10) and Schedule D – Regional Structure (to add an asterisk (*) with respect to reference to a new policy Section 188.8.131.52.10).

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel to the Ontario Municipal Board.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
