Environmental Assessment Study
Notice of Study Completion

Area Map

The Study
The Regional Municipality of Peel has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study to assess proposed improvements to the intersection of Derry Road and McLaughlin Road in the City of Mississauga, as shown on the key plan. The proposed improvements include additional dual left-turn lanes to increase operational capacity.

The Process
The project has been carried out in accordance with the requirements for a Schedule ‘B’ project under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007 and 2011). The study has reviewed the need and justification for improvements to the existing intersection, assessed alternatives to the undertaking and presented the technically preferred solution.

Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice, and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Region intends to proceed with the design and construction of this project.
