Public Open House #2 – East Brampton Watermains

The Region of Peel is conducting a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study to select the preferred routes and construction methods for two new large diameter watermains in the central part of Brampton to accommodate planned future growth and improve the existing system distribution capacity.

The recommended route for both watermains has been confirmed as Heart Lake Road, Clark Boulevard and Dixie Road (see map). Construction for both pipes is anticipated to start in 2016 and will include a combination of open cut and tunnel construction.

You are invited to attend one of the following public open houses to learn more about the Project:

Date: Wednesday, June 12, 2013
Location: St. John Fisher Catholic School
330 Balmoral Drive, Brampton
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Date: Thursday, June 13, 2013
Location: Russell D. Barber Public School
255 North Park Drive, Brampton
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Open House will:

  1. Present details about the recommended watermain routes, including construction methods, expected impacts and proposed mitigation measures.
  2. Summarize the process the Region has followed to this point and the next steps.
  3. Provide an opportunity for you to assist the project team in the decision making process.
