Notice of Committee of Revision Hearing

In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and associated O. Reg. 586/06, notice is hereby given that The Regional Municipality of Peel (the “Region of Peel”) will hold a Committee of Revision hearing to consider any objections by owners against the proposed local improvement roll and the Region of Peel’s proposed revisions to the proposed local improvement roll, if any. The following local improvement project will be considered at the hearing:

Local Improvement Charges – Priority Lien Status, O. Reg. 586/06, filed in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended

Project Number 15-2701, Sanitary Sewer on Saint Lukes Court (from 2 Saint Lukes Court to 8 Saint Lukes Court) - City of Brampton, Ward 10

Due to the efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, the meeting will be live streamed on peelregion.ca from the Region of Peel, Council Chamber, 5th Floor, 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite A, Brampton. Anyone wishing to attend may do so virtually. Please email the Office of the Regional Clerk at or call 905-791-7800, ext. 4465 for further instructions.

Requests for information (which includes the cost per metre frontage, the cost of the works, and the proportion of the costs to be borne by the Region of Peel and the affected property owners) may be directed to Glenn Aza, Local Improvement Billing Coordinator, Operations Support, Public Works, Region of Peel, 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite B, 4th Floor, Brampton, at 905-791-7800, ext. 3053 or via e-mail.

Persons wishing to inspect a copy of the local improvement roll and the statement of project costs may make an appointment by contacting the Office of the Regional Clerk at regional.clerk@peelregion.ca from February 25, 2021 to April 1, 2021.

Please note that while the Committee of Revision hearing is open to the public, only the owners of a lot to be specially charged may file an objection. Any owner who wishes to file an objection to the special charge, which is the subject of the proposed local improvement roll, must do so by not later than March 25, 2021 being seven (7) days prior to the April 1, 2021 hearing. Written objections received after the March 25, 2021 deadline will not be accepted.

Please note that if no objection or proposed revision is received by March 25, 2021 being seven (7) days prior to the April 1, 2021 hearing, the Treasurer of the Region of Peel shall certify the local improvement roll, without a hearing by the Committee of Revision. The local improvement roll, when certified by the Treasurer, and the special charges set out in the certified local improvement roll are final and binding, except where otherwise provided in O.Reg. 586/06.

Please note that your name will appear on the agendas and minutes of the Committee of Revision if you provide oral or written submissions to the Committee. The agendas and minutes of the Committee of Revision will appear on the Region of Peel Website as a public record of the proceedings. All postings are in compliance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
