Quick Facts

Peel Region is located in Southern Ontario, on the north shore of Lake Ontario, between the City of Toronto and York Region to the east and Halton Region to the west. Peel is a part of the Greater Toronto Area.

Peel Region is located in the Eastern Time Zone. It stretches from latitude 43n35 to latitude 43n52. The southern-most part of Peel is at longitude 79w37 while the northern-most part of Peel is at longitude 80w0. Peel contains portions of the Oak Ridges Moraine and the Niagara Escarpment (which is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve).
