Do you know how the services of the Planning Department
benefit the Peel community?
"Peel Planning will manage growth and change to
create a more liveable region" is a mandate accomplished
through many varied activities which focus on balancing
the competing demands of growth, protecting important
environmental, agricultural and natural resources, and
achieving a more sustainable land use and transportation
system.
Our services and projects include:
- Data creation, collection and analysis, and distribution
of information Bulletins
- Planning policy development and implementation -
which includes the Regional
Official Plan
- Transportation
planning - developing and coordinating transportation
system plans to provide for safe and efficient movement
of people and goods
- Planning research and studies - best practices,
trends and impacts related to environmental, economic,
social, demographic and transportation issues
- Mapping and
analysis using Geographic Information Systems
- Education and outreach - such as GIS Day and the
Peel
Children's Water Festival
We hope "Presenting
Planning" give you a better understanding of
