Getting Ready

It is important that you prepare for your day at the Peel Children’s Water Festival.  Remember: elementary students look to you as a role model and the more you prepare, the more they will get out of the activity.

Prior to the festival we suggest that you

  1. Review your activity script
  2. Practice your activity script with a partner
  3. Get to know your activity model/prop the morning of the festival
  4. Do a dry run of your activity before children arrive (practice with your steward)
  5. Ask questions
  6. Be enthusiastic!

The Peel Children’s Water Festival is an outdoor event that runs rain or shine. It is important that you come dressed appropriately for the weather and for working outside.

Please note: Water Festival t-shirts must be visible at all times - even in cold weather. Please be prepared to wear your shirt over of your jacket/sweater.

For additional tips on how to prepare for the festival and details about the days events please review the Student Orientation (PDF 1.9MB, 21 Pages).
