Mayfield Road Widening
From East of Bramalea Road to Airport Road
Project #06-4040

What are we doing?

  • To facilitate the reconstruction of Torbram Road Intersection, Mayfield Road will be closed to through traffic from Dixie Road to Airport Road on Friday October 12th starting at 7pm until Monday October 15th at 5am.
  • If weather does not permit the road closure, the work will be rescheduled to the following weekend from Friday October 19th to Monday October 22nd.
  • Appropriate signage for detours of trucks and cars will be in place during the shutdown. Local access to Mayfield Road will be maintained for the duration of this closure.
  • Widening and reconstruction of Mayfield Road between Bramalea Road and Airport Road; including new curb and multi-use trail. View attached map (PDF).

  • Project limits are Mayfield Road from east of Bramalea Road to Airport Road
  • Road closure limits are from Dixie Road to Airport Road

When?

  • Start: On Friday October 12th at 7 p.m.
  • Finish: Monday October 15th at 5 a.m.
  • Alternate weekend starting October 22nd

Working Hours

  • The Contractor's working hours are from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. If necessary to complete the work within the Mayfield Road closure dates, the Contractor may work outside of these hours. Night work may be necessary to expedite construction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Traffic Control

  • The works will be completed maintaining a safe working environment as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
  • Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • The Region of Peel will keep you informed of any substantial changes in the project scope or schedule.
