The following information is required a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to filming on Regional Roads, in order to process and approve the permit.

The following steps are required when applying for a Film Permit.
- A letter of intent that provides the following:
- Company name and complete address
- Contact person if different from above
- Telephone, cell, fax numbers and/or email address
- Proposed location, street names and outer limits of filming boundary
- Proposed date and time (rain date if applicable)
- Size of film crew and number of vehicles
- Brief description of filming, i.e. moving shot with traffic stoppages (up to 5 minutes accepted)
- Application fee of $187.46. Payment methods accepted include Visa, MasterCard or a cheque made payable to the Region of Peel.
- An insurance certificate (PDF 273KB, 1 page) naming the Region of Peel and the relevant Area Municipality as additional insured for an amount no less than $2 million. Insurance certificate must be provided to the Region of Peel a minimum of one (1) week prior to filming.
- A full Road Closure Application (PDF 323KB, 1 page) must be completed (if applicable).
Once the Region of Peel has received the above letter of intent, an Approval Letter with a permit number and Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement, including the conditions, will be sent to the applicant. The applicant must complete and return the Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement one (1) week prior to the event and all conditions in the Approval Letter must be complied with.
If the filming is cancelled, the applicant will be responsible for notifying the Region of Peel.
