The Region of Peel continues to clean up and recover from the impacts of the ice storm on December 22, 2013.
New and updated information will continue to be posted on this page.
Peel's special curbside collection of ice storm-related debris and brush has ended.
To help residents' clean-up efforts the Region will:
Residents in the Asian long-horned beetle (ALHB) quarantine area of Malton cannot move wood or storm-related tree debris from the restricted area. At this time, residents can bring storm-damaged tree debris to 2699 Drew Rd. (north of Derry Road East and east of Torbram Road). The tree debris will be disposed of effectively to prevent the possible spread of ALHB.
Business owners in the quarantined areas of Malton can also bring storm-damaged tree debris to 2699 Drew Rd. or make arrangements with their contractors to dispose of tree debris and packaging material as per Canadian Food Inspection Agency regulations to avoid spreading ALHB.
