Safety

The Region of Peel provides a safe environment that conforms to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, at all times.

Schedule

Work is underway and should be completed before April 2019. We will start restoring the road when all sewer system components are complete, and as weather permits. All work is under warranty for two years from the completion date.

Working Hours

Our contractor’s normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Night work is anticipated to limit disruptions to traffic in the area. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter working days would mean the project would take longer to complete.

Traffic Impacts

Goreway Drive north and south of Queen Street and Humberwest Parkway will be reduced to two lanes starting January 8, 2018. Reductions to a single lane are anticipated during working hours to complete certain project requirements between January and August 2018. Delays should be expected and traffic control signs and flag persons should be obeyed.

Pedestrian Access/Public Transit

Pedestrian access to the north side of the intersection at Queen Street and Goreway Drive is anticipated to be closed from January 2018 to August 2018 and a detour via the south side of the intersection will be provided.

Brampton Transit stops may be temporarily relocated. Pedestrians should follow the posted signs to the nearest alternative or relocated stop location.
