Twinning of the East Brampton Trunk Sewer

Ward and Burke Microtunnelling Ltd. (Ward & Burke) on behalf of the Region of Peel will be working on construction of the Twinning of the East Brampton Trunk Sewer in the City of Brampton. See area sketch(PDF, 160KB).

The project consists of construction of approximately 1,980m of 1800mm diameter, 305m of 1650mm diameter, and 3,000m of 1500mm diameter trunk sanitary sewer to be constructed by tunneling and open cut construction methods along the route shown on the attached map.

Preconstruction survey

Ward and Burke Microtunnelling Ltd. (Ward & Burke), the Region of Peel contractor, will be constructing the new sewer by tunneling. Prior to commencing the construction, OZA Inspections Ltd, a Ward & Burke representative, will be conducting a photographic pre-construction survey to record the condition of the existing buildings and structures, environmental features and the road surface condition within and along the sanitary sewer alignment. OZA Inspections Ltd. will contact you prior to taking photos of your property. There is no cost to you for the survey and you are not obligated to have it completed, however we would recommend it. Pre-construction surveys are standard construction practice. This work will take place over the next couple of weeks, weather permitting.

The Region of Peel provides a safe environment that conforms to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, at all times.

Schedule

Construction is anticipated to start at the beginning of March 2017 and is scheduled to be completed by March 2019.
