Where is the work happening?
- On The Gore Road between Patterson Side Road to Finnerty Sideroad
What we are doing?
- The work includes:
- Clearing, grubbing, earthworks excavation;
- New granular road base asphalt pavement;
- Culvert replacements;
- Precast modular retaining walls;
- Intersection lighting;
- Landscaping.
When?
- Construction Start: September 2023 - Finish: Fall 2024 (weather permitting)
Working Hours
- Pacific Paving Limited has been contracted to complete the work on the Region’s behalf. Hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Traffic Control
- A lane per direction is to be maintained whenever possible. Should a lane per direction not be possible, the Contractor’s work shall allow a minimum of a single lane of traffic and shall have a flag person and / or temporary signals onsite at all times to guide traffic.
- Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Driveway Access
- When working on driveways, the Contractor will stage their work to maintain, at minimum one half of the entrance for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
