Major paving operations - QEW to Royal Windsor Drive
Please be advised that Gazzola Paving is scheduled to commence Day Milling and Paving Operations on Winston Churchill Boulevard, between QEW and Royal Windsor Drive, in the Southbound direction on Monday, July 25/16 starting at 7:00AM, weather permitting. The work will include full depth asphalt removal, granular base inspection, placement of new base asphalt and temporary line painting.
During Day Operations, the following sequence of events will occur on site:
Southbound Direction:
- All Northbound direction traffic will be reduced to a single Northbound slow/curb lane;
- All existing Southbound lanes will be temporarily closed;
- Traffic in the Southbound direction will be transferred at the Intersections via a single lane (median cross-over);
- All temporary Southbound direction traffic will be reduced and put into a single existing Northbound fast lane (on the East side of the centre of the road);
- Existing right/left turning lanes at intersections will be maintained where possible;
- Pay Duty Peel Regional Police Officers will be on site to assist with traffic control and emergency vehicles at all intersections;
