Based on previous TDM experience, implementation
of successful TDM policies and programs requires
commitment from the public sector and support
from the private sector (e.g. employers, developers,
property managers, etc.).
In order to introduce TDM to all the private
and public sector stakeholders and solicit input
from them on how we can work together to develop
and implement successful TDM strategies in Peel
Region, a TDM Stakeholder Workshop was held on
July 11, 2003.
With support from Nortel Networks, a TDM supportive
company, the Workshop was held at Nortel's Global
Headquarters in Brampton.
More than fifty major employers, developers and
transportation experts attended the Workshop. |
