Parents! Are you looking for fun and engaging ways for your child to spend time outdoors? Perhaps you are competing with the allure of “screen time”?
This program is a great fit for your child if they are involved in scouts or guides, enjoy playing games and spending time in nature, and are interested in learning survival skills Lead instructor Aaron Rosen will share survival skills and ancestral technology with the participants, blending naturalist knowledge with practical applications. Volunteer and dig in as you plant native trees and shrubs at Wildwood Park, Mississauga. In partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and City of Mississauga, work as a team to enhance the integrity of this Park by increasing local biodiversity and providing a habitat for local wildlife. Everyone is welcome!

Event will run rain or shine. Please dress in weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear (closed-toe) and bring a water bottle. Evergreen will provide a planting demonstration, gloves, tools and refreshments.

Location and Meeting Place:
Wildwood Park is located in Mississauga south of Derry Road East between Professional Ct. and Goreway Drive. The major intersections are Derry Road East and Goreway Drive. An Evergreen representative will meet you at the back side of the parking lot from Goreway Drive. Transit, cycling, walking or carpooling is encouraged. However, if driving, parking is available in the Park’s parking lot from Goreway Drive.
