60 Years: Connecting our Past, Shaping our Future 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

This Forum is for anyone interested in environmental issues in the western Greater Toronto Area. Our goal is to provide participants with a wide variety of knowledge and tools to learn about, improve and protect the health of the Credit River watershed. Join CVC and other community groups from across the watershed in making this event as informative and enlightening as possible.

- Reflect on key moments in the Credit River watershed and discuss our future in a changing climate
- Learn from the past and help contribute to a healthier environment
- Participate in hands-on learning

Community Planting, Applewood Greenbelt, Mississauga 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Volunteer and dig in as you plant native trees and shrubs at Applewood Greenbelt, Mississauga. In partnership with the City of Mississauga, work as a team to enhance the integrity of this park by increasing local biodiversity and providing a habitat for local wildlife.

Event will run rain or shine. Please dress in weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear (closed-toe) and bring a water bottle. Evergreen will provide a planting demonstration, gloves, tools and refreshments.

Location and Meeting Place:

Applewood Greenbelt is located north of Burnhamthorpe Road, Mississauga between Corbet Drive and Golden Orchard Drive. An Evergreen representative will meet you at the back side of the church of The Holy Spirit, 1170 Tynegrove Road Mississauga. Transit, cycling, walking or carpooling is encouraged. However, if driving, parking is available along Golden Orchard Drive, Tynegrove Road and the Church of The Holy Spirit parking lot.
