Purple Loosestrife is an invasive species that has proven to be a challenge to control. One successful method is to release Purple Loosestrife beetles. The beetles feed on the plant and help to control its spread. Join us for the release of 10,000 beetles! Meet at the main parking lot by the MacEwan Terrace Garden.

If you want volunteer hours, to go outside, or just enjoy the environment, come out and join the Garlic Mustard Task Force! The program runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm, and Saturdays 9am to 12pm. There are no pulls on Saturday May 24th and May 31st. No previous experience necessary. Please bring close-toed shoes and your enthusiasm! Please meet at the toolshed near Chappell house, which is at 4300 Riverwood Park Lane L5C 2S7
