KiteFest 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

KiteFest, Canada’s First Eco-Friendly Kite Festival, is taking place June 6 and 7 at the Gore Meadows Community Centre (10150 The Gore Road) in Brampton.

Where:
Gore Meadows Community Centre (10150 The Gore Road, north of Castlemore Road in Brampton). Free Parking will be available at Castlemore Public School (9916 The Gore Road) and Castlebrooke Secondary School (10 Gardenbrooke Trail).

When:
Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7 from 11 am – 4 pm on both days.

Event Description:
KiteFest is a FREE family festival that brings together kite flying enthusiasts and celebrates green energy, nature and South Asian culture. Whether you’re an avid kite enthusiast or a first time flyer, KiteFest is a chance to experience the joy of kite flying and help paint the Brampton sky with a sea of colourful kites.

The festival will include choreographed kite performances by professional kite flyers from stunt kites to ballet kites and even a wide variety of animal kites. There’s also plenty of space to fly a kite of your own. Children can make their own at Tim Hortons’ free interactive kite making zone where they’ll decorate a kite and learn to fly.

Additional activities include Kite Making Clinics, Entertainers throughout the grounds, Food Vendors, Clowns, Face painting, Music, Community Exhibits, Product Demonstration and Give-a-ways.
