Credit Valley Volunteers are selling Geraniums and Impatiens, flats and hanging baskets for your gardens. Hidden Cultures of the World 12:30 am - 5:00 pm

Hidden Cultures is an event planned by the Brampton's Multicultural Youth Council. It is over the course of two weekends and consists of four workshops based on different regions around the world including: Africa, South Asia, Oriental Asia and Eastern Europe. Students earn volunteer hours for attending. The event will feature food, dancing and other fun activities pertaining to those regions.

The dates:
Africa- April 27
South Asia- April 28
Oriental Asia- May 4th
Eastern Europe- May 5th

Time: Each workshop will be from 12:30-5 pm

Eco Rendezvous- Biomass/Biofuels and Wind Energy 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Concerned about our changing climate? Want to know more about biomass/biofuels and wind energy? Transfer your knowledge? Network? Income opportunity?

Let’s meet up..

To discuss biomass and wind energy as viable renewable energy options in relation to our homes, communities, businesses and workplace. Attendees will leave with better understanding of the following:

-Biomass as a renewable energy source
-Wind as a renewable energy source
-Business/investment opportunities associated with community biomass and wind energy development
-How integrating biomass/wind energy into our current energy mix can enable us live sustainably in our changing climate

“Biochar Ontario” is partnering with EnvironFocus to run this event. ‘Biochar Ontario’ Annual General meeting (AGM) is also scheduled to take place. Join Evergreen and the City of Mississauga as we plant native trees and shrubs. Everyone is welcome!

Enhance the integrity of Applewood Greenbelt by nurturing wildlife habitat and increasing biodiversity! Event will run rain or shine.

Applewood Greenbelt is located Northeast of Eastgate Pkwy and Tomken Rd. An Evergreen representative will meet you on the north side of Willowbank Trail in between Lee Drive and Highgate Place. Transit, cycling, walking or carpooling is encouraged, however free parking is available in designated areas along the residential street.

Join us Saturday afternoons for fun family activities inspired by our exhibitions! Each week families can make and take home easy projects for all ages.
