Caledon Pit Run 5K 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

On Saturday October 20th 2012, the Lafarge-Aecon Sand and Gravel Pit in Caledon will be hosting the inaugural Caledon “Pit” Run/Walk and Food Drive. The Caledon “Pit” Run/Walk will take place within the scenic 2nd Concession of our Caledon Pit, located southwest of Charleston Road and Willoughby Road in Caledon, Ontario. This will be a unique opportunity for runners to experience a 5K cross-country run or 1K walk through an active pit. During the event, Lafarge-Aecon will also be hosting an open house, kids’ activities, a sponsor expo, a food drive and a rehabilitation tour.

This event is being run in support of the Caledon Community Services (CCS). CCS is a not-for-profit community-impact organization that provides programs and resources for residents of Caledon and the surrounding communities. Our goal is to attract 250 runners and their supporters, as well as members from the local community to this inaugural event. We pledge that 100% of the registration fees from the Run/Walk event will go directly back to CCS, specifically towards the new CCS food program being developed on Healey Road in Bolton.
