Workshop: Volunteer Recognition 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Upcoming Workshop: Volunteer Recognition – Beyond plaques, pins and platitudes

Recognizing volunteers is vital to a successful volunteer engagement strategy.

We know that the right recognition strategy will ensure happy, engaged volunteers and we strive towards that. What often stumps us is the ‘by whom’ and ‘how’ questions.

So... how does your organization recognize volunteers? Are they being recognized in ways that are meaningful to them?

In this interactive, hands on workshop we will discuss the benefits of creating a solid, meaningful volunteer recognition plan. We will talk about the responsibilities of recognition – who does what and why. Bring your questions, your challenges and your learning needs during this practical and helpful session.

During this workshop, some of the key learning’s you will receive include:
- Trends in volunteer recognition - what the various demographics value and how they want to be recognized
- How to create a recognition plan
- Informal and formal strategies for recognition
- What formal awards programs exist
