Performance measurement is key for boards to better understand their role, and can provide valuable information on each board's weaknesses and strengths.
All boards differ in terms of their levels of engagement, board-staff relations, and roles and responsibilities. Measuring the board's strengths and areas for improvement enables the organization to more efficiently deliver its mission, identify areas for targeted board recruitment and potential funding sources.
In this workshop, the last of a four-part Board Governance series, you will be introduced to concepts and models of measurement; the role of measurement in strategic planning; setting the right benchmarks and reviewing performance for the key people in your organization in order to be effective and efficient.
