BRAMPTON YOUTH CONCERT BAND
The City of Brampton Concert Band continues its 2012/2013 Concert Series “Christmas at the Rose” at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday December 8, 2012 at the Rose Theatre. On behalf of our music director, Darryl Eaton, we invite you to our annual celebration of the music of the Christmas season.
This evening will be a special moment in the history of our organization as we are pleased to present the inaugural performance of the Brampton Youth Concert Band under the direction of Susan Barber Kahro.
Also joining us in what has become a wonderful tradition are the voices of The Mayfield Singers, from Mayfield Secondary School under the direction of Jennifer Moon. Throughout the evening you will hear a number of new arrangements and pieces, mixed amongst old favourites and solo features from various musicians in the band. The evening will close with a rare treat as our music director Darryl Eaton performs a solo on the flugelhorn. As always, there will be the much-loved audience sing-along so that everyone can take part in the music of Christmas.
