Rising to the Challenge: A Handbook for Understanding and Protecting the Credit River Watershed

  • This online handbook was created for residents and visitors to the Credit River Watershed who want to learn more about the importance of this natural area, the challenges facing it, and the ways we can take action and make a difference.

This resource provides useful background information for research projects and can serve as a starting point for discussion with students to increase their knowledge of local watershed issues.  Students will also gain insight into the varied actions needed to face challenges in the Credit River Watershed.

Credit Valley Conservation is one of 36 conservation authorities operating in Ontario and is dedicated to conserving, restoring, developing and managing natural resources on a watershed basis.

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) was formed on May 13, 1954 and has been working for over 55 years to protect the natural environment in the Credit River Watershed.
