Food Handler Courses and Home Study Exams Suspended Until Further Notice

As a result of having staff re-deployed we are suspending all scheduled Food Handler Courses and Home Study Exams until further notice. If you have pre-booked you will be notified by phone. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Peel Public Health has many programs to make sure that food is handled safely and to reduce the risk of anyone becoming sick with food-borne illness:

Report a food poisoning

To report a food poisoning please call Peel Public Health at 905-799-7700. You can call after normal business hours and on weekends. If you have leftover food that you suspect made you sick, please keep it in a refrigerator in case we need to do a lab test.

Report a complaint

To report a complaint about a food premises, please email or call Peel Public Health at
905-799-7700. A Public Health Inspector will investigate. If you have leftover food that you suspect made you sick, please keep it in a refrigerator in case we need to do a lab test.

When emailing, be sure to include the following information: 1) Your name, 2) Your phone number, 3) Name of the facility, and 4) Address of the facility.
