On April 28, 2022, Regional Council passed by-law 20-2022 to adopt the new Region of Peel Official Plan (RPOP). A copy of the Region of Peel Official Plan, April 2022 is available to download:
The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing issued a decision to approve the new RPOP with 44 modifications on November 4, 2022. A new version of the RPOP is being prepared to include the Minister's modifications and will be posted to the Download the Peel Regional Official Plan page. Download the Notice of Decision .

The following information has been prepared as reference for consultation purposes only, and does not represent adopted, approved or in-effect policies (see in-effect Official Plan and adopting amendment by-law for current policies).
Draft policies
A draft version of proposed Official Plan policies to date was compiled to help track changes being considered. The in-effect December 2018 Regional Official Plan Office Consolidation was updated to illustrate tracked changes for draft policies and mapping dated March 15, 2022. This version of the consolidation includes further recommended policy changes in response to stakeholder and public comments received during and after the statutory consultation period. Please note:
- A guide to reviewing the tracked changes (i.e. the meaning of underlined or highlighted text) is included on page 6 of the document.
- Aggregates resources and excess soil will proceed at a later date.
Download the March 15, 2022 Draft Peel 2051 Municipal Comprehensive Review Policies within the Office Consolidation. Regional staff brought forward the new Peel 2051 Official Plan to Regional Council for final adoption in accordance with Section 17 and 26 of the Planning Act in the Spring of 2022. For exact timing, refer to the Planning and Growth Management Committee and Council Meeting agendas.

Mapping
The information on the DRAFT maps have been prepared as a reference for consultation purposes only. The proposed maps give visualization of proposed policy areas and do not represent adopted, approved or in-effect mapping.
The in-effect Official Plan schedules and figures, adopting by-law itself and any amending by-laws or Ontario Land Tribunal decisions must be consulted for the official data. See the Official Plan maps for all in-effect maps.
Proposed schedules and figures below are the final versions adopted by Regional Council on April 28, 2022. New versions of the Provincially-approved schedules and figures will be available soon. The Peel 2051 Regional Official Plan Review Mapping comparison table provides details on differences between current in-effect mapping, the drafts presented for statutory consultation in Fall 2021, and the mapping adopted by Regional Council on April 28, 2022.
