Canada Community-Building Fund

Peel has received government funding for several infrastructure projects.

The Canada Community-Building Fund provides direct, permanent, stable funding to help each municipality in Ontario address local infrastructure priorities. Its purpose is to grow the economy, promote a cleaner environment, and build stronger communities all by investing in local infrastructure.

Dixie Road sidewalk and multi-use trail construction – $2.2M

Caledon Trailway crossing upgrades – $220k

Construction of cyclist-friendly paved shoulders along Olde Base Line Road $260K

Dixie Road multi-use trail construction – $285k

Steeles Avenue multi-use trail construction – $1.1M
