Project Updates
- We have finished the work. The project is under warranty until August 2023.
The project
Improving Main Street South/Queen Street East, including road resurfacing, intersection reconfiguration, new retaining walls, drainage and boulevard improvements, providing on-street parking, decorative street lighting, traffic calming measures and streetscaping enhancements.
- Schedule anticipated, weather permitting: March 2019 to July 2020
- Traffic Flow: Temporary lane closures on Queen Street East (east of Main) and Main Street (south of Queen). Traffic will continue to flow through a single lane.
Construction Notes:
- Contractors will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There may be some vibration.
- If we need to block your driveway for a short time, we will:
- contact you in advance to arrange the best time and alternate access
- ensure businesses always have access
- provide road plates to allow immediate access, if necessary
- have our Project Manager address any special access requests
