Actions we're taking
Funding for mental health and addictions services in Peel is still below the Ontario average.
This lack of funding means not only that wait lists keep growing, but also that residents’ needs are continually unmet — especially among youth and young adults.
Peel Region keeps pressing the Province for a new funding model that considers population and demographic factors.
This model should ensure that targeted, specific, and sustainable investments are made to Peel’s community-based mental health and addictions services to address current crisis levels.
