Nominate a Hero in the Home- Central West Caregiver Recognition Event All Day

The Central West Community Care Access Centre is inviting residents to recognize caregivers who help others maintain their health, safety and independence at home. The program pays tribute to the many formal and informal caregivers who give of themselves to improve the lives of those limited by age, illness or disability.

Any volunteer or professional caregiver can be nominated: a family member, friend, case manager, nurse, therapist or other health care workers.

All nominees will receive a certificate of recognition and will be honoured at awards ceremonies in October 2012.

To nominate, visit www.heroesinthehomecwccac.com or call 1-888-733-1177 ext.7756.

Origin Great Memories Golf Classic 2012 9:30 am - 9:00 pm

Golf season is upon us and Origin Active Lifestyle Communities is getting into swing once again for the annual Origin Great Memories Golf Tournament in association with the Alzheimer Societies of Peel and Niagara. This year, the big event is scheduled for September 10 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club.

Last year we raised over $40,000 in support of Alzheimer Society of Peel. We are pursuing sponsors and participants for this year’s tournament and hoping that you may help us make the event even more successful.

The Alzheimer Society exists to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias; to help find the cause, prevention and cure.
