Headwaters Arts Festival All Day

Make a day trip to Caledon and points just beyond for the Headwaters Arts Festival, 19 days of exciting events, including a juried art show and sale that features more than 45 local artists, open studios, literature readings, studio tours, concerts and workshops for both kids and adults.

6th Annual Manifesto Festival Cancelled

The time has finally come! The 6th Annual Manifesto Festival is a little over a month away and we have another great lineup.

Day 1 - September 21, 2012 - Regent Park Arts & Cultural Center

This year's festival will kick off with the always standout Art Show and Launch Party at the recently completed Regent Park Arts & Cultural Centre. This will be an evening of art, music and dance as well as the public’s first glimpse at the new Art and Culture Centre at the heart of Regent Park!

The launch will be followed by an event packed weekend of Dance, Music, Art, Fashion, Food, and much more!

Day 2 - September 22, 2012 - Ryerson University Engineering Building

The second day of the festival will celebrate the groundbreaking youth arts program Fresh Arts, with the Fresh Arts 20 x Manifesto Summit. Taking place at the Ryerson University Engineering Building, the summit will be a combination of panel discussions, mentor classes, and a key-note address.

Day 3 - September 23, 2012: Yonge and Dundas Square

The last day of the festival on September 23, will transform Yonge and Dundas Square into a hip-hop music, art and culture epicenter!

Some highlights for this year’s Live at the Square includes:
• All-day Music
• Visual Art Installations
• The Red Bull Dance Floor
• The Freshest Goods Marketplace
• Tasty Food Vendors
• A variety of workshops spanning across multiple disciplines

A Breastfeeding Place at the Bolton Fall Fair All Day

A shady place to sit and feed as well as change your baby. The breastfeeding tent is available at selected outdoor events and provides cold water and an opportunity to speak with a Public Health Nurse.

Marvelous Mushrooms Walk 9:30 am - 11:00 am

What is a mushroom? Join fungi expert Richard Aaron for a walk that will help you identify common mushrooms, their uses and the essential role they play in the environment. This walk is offered twice (morning and afternoon) and is limited to 15 participants per session.

All walks and hikes will meet at the Pergola in the NEW MacEwan Terrace Garden off the main (first) parking lot at Riverwood.

One SMALL Step for Prader-Willi Syndrome 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Keep Moving Forward! We will be walking in support of Jack & Belinda Jones' daughter Brooke and the many other thousands of individuals with PWS, raising research funds for FPWR. Join us in Chinguacousy Park in Brampton Ontario on September 23 at 10:00am. Our walk route will take us around the park. Afterwards there will be food, talks about FPWR and the research they are funding, and activities for the kids.
