Headwaters Arts Festival All Day

Make a day trip to Caledon and points just beyond for the Headwaters Arts Festival, 19 days of exciting events, including a juried art show and sale that features more than 45 local artists, open studios, literature readings, studio tours, concerts and workshops for both kids and adults.

Babysitters Course- Brampton (PA Day) All Day

(PA Day: Public School Board Only) Fantastic course for youth aged 9-14.Fun, interactive & hands- on training. Creates preparedness, confidence & independence in youth while staying HOME ALONE or BABYSITTING. Course topics include first aid & emergencies; choking, rescue breathing & intro to CPR; fire safety; coping with common problems when babysitting; rights & responsibilities of babysitter & hiring family; fun games & needs specific to various ages of children being cared for; finding jobs SAFELY. Courses taught by fully screened, first aid & CPR Instructors. One day course. Fee $60.00 inclusive: Includes manual & workbook, starter content for creating their personal “Babysitters Binder”. Course fee paid upon arrival the day of the course. Certification card is laminated & does not expire- KidSafe Canada certification is recognized across Canada. ASTRONOMY @Riverwood SERIES PRESENTED BY RSAC (MISSISSAUGA) 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Randy Attwood of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Mississauga Centre) invite you to explore the beauty of the night sky. Bring your own telescope or binoculars and enjoy a spring evening star gazing at Riverwood. Star maps will be distributed. Telescopes will be set up for observing the moon, planets and stars on the lawn in front of Chappell House. Please note: The event will be held on the first date shown – the second date is a back-up date in case skies are not suitable for star-gazing on the scheduled date.
