Resident Council

Each Region of Peel Long Term Care home has a a committee of long-term care residents called the Resident Council.
The Council is our residents’ voice when it comes to enhancing their daily lives and improving services at their centre.
Feedback from Resident Council helps our long-term care teams evaluate and change our services and programs to better suit our residents’ needs.
Council duties
Resident Council members meet once a month to:
- Discuss residents’ concerns.
- Gather residents’ suggestions.
- Plan social activities and outings to ensure residents enjoy their time at the centre.
Council membership
All residents are entitled to be council members.
Resident Council Presidents are elected by their peers. They play an important role in each home as ambassadors for other residents.
