About Peel Paramedics

Our Service Commitment

Our highly trained and skilled paramedics provide life-saving, pre-hospital emergency medical care to Peel’s residents and visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We work with Peel Regional Council to build and train our workforce so that more ambulances can be staffed with both advanced care and primary care paramedic.

By being strategically placed throughout the Region, our crews can react to all emergency calls within one minute.

Meeting Community Needs

The Region of Peel has more than 650 full- and part-time paramedics who respond to over 136,000 emergencies each year. Our paramedics are sent into the community from 24 paramedic stations located in the Cities of Mississauga, Brampton and the Town of Caledon.

At peak times, paramedics in 61 ambulances and eight Rapid Response Units care for nearly 1.4 million people and cover 1,225 square kilometres in Peel.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services also has 16 Supervisor First Response Vehicles, two Emergency Support Units, and three Bariatric Units to help care for Peel residents and visitors.
