Construction update
Sanitary sewer construction on Sant Farm Drive, Caledon
The Region of Peel has been working in your area to install a new sanitary sewer on Sant Farm Drive.
At this time, we have:
- Finished installing the sanitary seweron Sant Farm Drive,
- Temporarily repaired the road and curbs where disturbed by the sanitary sewer work.
The remaining work has been put on hold due to the weather. We will shut down for the winter on December 22, 2022. We have left the construction site in a safe condition for the rest of the winter.
Schedule for remaining construction and repair work
We expect to start work again in Spring 2023 to complete the repair of driveways, road, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) where disturbed by the sanitary sewer replacement work. This will include replacing the temporary asphalt repairs on driveways, curbs, sidewalks, and roads to complete the final restoration. We plan to complete this work in the middle of 2023. More details about restoration will be shared in a follow-up notice.
Settlement of the ground
It is normal for repaired areas to settle a bit in the coming months. If you notice large potholes forming in the driveway, street, lawn or boulevard, please let us know and we will ensure the contractor fixes this.
