Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement

Kingsholm Drive. Project 21-2300 C

The Region of Peel will be repairing roads, following the replacement of the sanitary sewer on Kingsholm Drive.

Road repairs

We will repair the road where it was disturbed by our recent sanitary sewer construction. We expect paving activities to take place:

Please note that repairs may be delayed due to contractor availability or weather conditions. For example, paving cannot take place when the ground is saturated with water.

Contractor and working hours

The work will be overseen by Rymall Construction Inc. under contract to the Region of Peel. This contractor’s normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but shorter working days would require your neighbourhood to be under construction for a longer period of time.

Driveway access

You may not have access to your driveway for a short time as the paving operation crosses your driveway.

Parking

Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street. Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times.

To provide an alternate parking location, we have requested a street parking enforcement exemption from the City of Mississauga for Kingsholm Drive for the duration of the project. Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.

Traffic impacts

We may need to reduce traffic to a single lane during construction. Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption in the area. If we must reroute traffic, we will place signs giving directions.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
