Watermain replacement and improvement
Dixie Road between Highway 401 and Britannia Road
The Region of Peel is working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain along Dixie Road.
Some upcoming work will take place overnight, in order to complete the watermain connection at Dixie Road and Shawson Drive, to minimize the impact of water interruptions on local businesses and reduce the impact of paving operations on traffic congestion. This overnight work will occur at the Shawson Drive and Dixie Road Intersection.

Schedule
This work is scheduled for one evening beginning on April 26th at 8 p.m. until April 27th,2023 at 7 a.m. Additional nights may be required due to unpredictable delays, such as poor weather conditions.
Traffic impacts
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane during construction. If we must reroute traffic, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced during construction when we are actively working on your street.
Noise
We do not anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents as much as possible.
Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
