Bridge replacement and rehabilitation
King Street East and Humber Lea Road, Bolton - Projects 15-4830 & 15-4840
Peel Region will be working in Wards 4 and 5 to replace the bridge on King Street East, immediately east of Humber Lea Road and rehabilitate the bridge on King Street East, immediately east of Old King Road.
At this stage in the project, the Request for Tender is in progress, with anticipated construction to commence in spring 2023 and tentative completion by the end of this year.
Traffic impacts
Due to the nature of the work and existing site conditions, a full road closure is necessary. King Street East from John Street to Humber Lea Road will be closed to all through traffic including pedestrians. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from May until the end of November. During this time, detours will be clearly marked with road signs.
Paid duty officers will assist in directing traffic, as needed.
