Bridge replacement and rehabilitation

King Street East, Bolton – Projects 15-4830 & 15-4840

This year, Peel Region will be working in Wards 5 and 6 to complete:

Traffic impacts

A full road closure will be required to replace the bridge on King Street East, just east of Humber Lea Road. As a result, King Street East will be closed to all through traffic, including pedestrians, from John Street to Humber Lea Road. This temporary road closure is being postponed until the week of May 22, 2023. We expect the road to reopen by December 8. (weather permitting). During this time, detours will be clearly marked with road signs. Please refer to the detour maps for alternate routes.

This road closure and construction may cause traffic delays. We thank you for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.

Weather and other unpredictable events may change the timing of this construction and the associated traffic impacts. To receive project updates, sign up for email notices and follow Peel Public Works on Twitter. Also look for the electric sign boards in the area for updates on closures and impacts.
