Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Birchview Drive. Project 18-2300 C
The Region of Peel has started working in your neighbourhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer just north of Fair Birch Drive, along the Lornewood creek water course. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, we need to set up a receiving shaft to facilitate the construction of the replacement sewer by microtunneling on Birchview Drive. This receiving shaft will be in place for a couple of weeks.
Traffic impacts – Temporary Lane Adjustment – date change
A temporary lane adjustment has been set up on Birchview Drive. Both northbound and southbound lanes have been adjusted to allow traffic to move along Birchview Drive while we complete our work. This temporary lane adjustment is being extended from the original end date of November 14, 2022 until November 30, 2022.
Please note that this is a sketch and does not depict the complete traffic control setup. Residents driving through the construction area should abide by the posted traffic signs and drive with care.
These impacts may cause traffic delays. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays as much as possible.
