Watermain replacement and improvement

Bloor Street between Havenwood Drive and Bridgewood Drive. Project 22-1310 D

Peel Region will be working in your area to replace the watermain along Bloor Street between Havenwood Drive and Bridgewood Drive. Some upcoming work will take place overnight, to minimize the impact of water interruptions on local businesses. This overnight work will occur on Bloor Street, near intersection of Bloor Street and Havenwood Drive. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by this work.

Schedule

The City of Mississauga, under the Noise Bylaw, is allowing work to be done by our contractor overnight. This overnight work is expected to take place for two evenings, Tuesday September 19, 2023, from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM and Wednesday September 20, 2023, from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Additional nights may be required due to unpredictable delays, such as poor weather conditions.

Traffic impacts

This work will require a lane closure on Bloor Street closer to the intersection of Bloor Street and Havenwood Drive on Tuesday September 19th, 2023, from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM and Wednesday September 20th,2023, from 12:00 AM to 6:00AM. On-street parking will be reduced during construction when we are actively working on your street.

Noise

We do not anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents as much as possible.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
