Bridge replacement and rehabilitation
King Street East and Humber Lea Road, Bolton – Projects 15-4830 & 15-4840
Since May 2023, work has been underway to replace the King Street bridge, located east of Humber Lea Road. The final stage is to grade and pave the road.
Traffic impacts
This work will require temporarily closing the intersection of King Street East and Humber Lea Road. Due to unfavourable weather conditions, the paving work has been rescheduled. As a result, the intersection of King Street East and Humber Lea Road will be closed on Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10, 2023. This road closure will take place daily from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The detour map is enclosed for your reference prior to heading out. During this closure, police officers or flag persons will be on site to direct traffic. Emergency service vehicles will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from police officers or the onsite contractor.

Weather and other unpredictable events may change the timing of this construction and the associated traffic impacts. Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users.
